on Take off - First Flight

41% 3W Votec 322

Wow!!!! That is the only word that can describe our new 3W Votec. It is simply awsome and the best flying plane that I have ever flown. It does everything with ease. We have a 3 bladed prop on the 3W 150 QS and have power left. I just need some time to practice and I will be trouble in IMAC. It is absolutely the best airplane that I have ever flown. It stops on the snaps very crisp, as soon as you get off the sticks it .....stops. I have not started 3D with this plane as of yet but over the winter I will start flying 3D.

About our Votec:

Test Flown (all pictures are on first day) September 7, 2003, Triple Tree Aerodrome, Woodruff, SC.

Appeared in Aircraft International advertisement Winter issue 2003.

We used Dupont base coat clear coat on the fuse and monokote on the wings, stab, elevators and rudder. The colors matched great!

As stated earlier, it is powered by a 3W 150 QS with Pefa cans running a Mejelik 3 bladed 28.5 X 12 prop and Paragon 5.5" spinner.

Radio equipment is all JR supporting 12 - 8411 servos, (3 each aileron, 4 rudder, 2 each elevator) 1 throttle servo 8141 (I can't never remember that number) 5 matchboxes, 2 - 955 recievers, all guided by JR 10 SX transmitter. This is a lot of radio and we depend on 2-Duralite Plus 3600 MAH batteries for the radio system and 1 1900 for the ignition. I have flown 7 -15 min flights in one day with power left over in all batteries.

I was very nervous about flying it for the first time. After lift off, my nerves where suddenly gone. The plane took on click of right aileron and 2 clicks of down elevator. Mixing was minimal on the pitch and maybe one percent on roll.

I hope to see you soon at a contest or fly-in so that you can see (or feel) just how great this 3W Votec really is. Words nor pictures can do it justice. For sure my next plane will be another 3W Votec!

I recommend this plane highly and can be bought at Aircraft International. Talk to Gerhard, just remember to tell him that you read about this plane from my site.

Thanks

Stan
